This Sunday I slept in, ate pasta, went on a jog, forgot to blog about my week, and read a lot of funny articles. Other than the whole completely forgetting to post a blog bit, it was wonderful. So, for a few minutes on this Monday morning, let's pretend it's Sunday again. It will be wonderful, we will talk about workouts, think about yummy foods, and look over some ridiculously entertaining articles I read yesterday. Yes, I think we should pretend it's Sunday morning everyday.
The Sundays
For those of you who came to the blog yesterday and thought the world was over upon seeing [yet again] no workout sum-up, rejoice, the world is intact... I was just lazy, or tired, or something. In my defense, Friday was a pretty spectacular day that put my entire weekend in a whirlwind. You see, my most-loved cousin had her first baby. Yea, it was pretty awesome and left me incapable of doing anything but looking at baby pictures every 10-minutes for the rest of the day.
We were able to visit said cousin in Miami before going to a wedding later in the day on Saturday. I know I may be a bit biased, bit her little bundle is the most darling thing I have ever witnessed. Fact. Then, we went to a wedding, got home super late, and slept in even later. Instead of focusing on the whole lazy Sunday bit, let's talk about how awesome this week and the workouts were. Yea, it was pretty great!
Sunday: Rest day. I was just prepping for this week's lazy Sunday... And celebrating Easter, you know.
Monday: 4.5-mile jog. I am in a friendly competition with some, well, friends to see who can run 75-miles first. My plan is to pulverize them... In the most friendly way possible. hehe.
Tuesday: Hot Power Yoga with my sister-in-law and our bestie, followed by a 2-mile jog with the hubs.
Wednesday: All Children's Fashion Luncheon! There was lots of running around, but none of it really counts as a workout.
Thursday: Rest day.
Friday: 3-mile morning jog followed by another 3-mile evening jog. Had to make up for Thursday somehow.
Saturday: Driving= rest day.
There we are, a week where I was able to do some massive doubling-up two days out of seven! It may have only consisted of three real workout days, but I was able to get in five whole workouts. Considering how crazy the week was with work and volunteering and family, this is a feat I am quite proud of! Now back to our lazy Sunday memories.
There are a few funny articles that just needed to be shared, specifically, shared with you. First off is something for all those who have ever thought of moving to San Francisco. This Flow Chart is a fool-proof way of seeing if you should live in the bustling Bay area. What did it say about you? I got a "no". Frown.
Second is an interesting article about Facebook and the social effects of un-friending someone. We have all been there. Sometimes, those ridiculous political posts, baby posts, pet posts, or mean posts can drive you crazy. But, have you ever unfriended someone because of it? I almost did this last week. This article talks about the grieving process for the un-friended and the main reasons people un-friend. It was funny, and interesting, and apropos. You should totally read it!
Next up is another flow chart because I just loved the San Francisco one. The only difference is that this one talks about food shopping. Do you have a usual place to food shop? If your decision is between Trader Joe's or Whole Foods (or as my Dad calls it, Whole Wallet), this flow chart may make it easier for you to decide. I got Whole Foods, but would be at Trader Joe's daily if it was only a bit closer.
